We are an unhealthy society, and everything we do is unhealthy. We have a junk food mindset—both for our nutritional standards as well as our emotional standards, our spiritual... We are really in a bad place, and it's been expedited through our addiction to social media. That's the McDonald's of our mind.

When I think about it now.... the human body is so resilient because the food we eat is just so bad ... Imagine having a Maserati, and you keep putting Windex in your gas tank. The body's just not made to eat what we're eating.

People believe that eating healthy is not affordable, which is wrong. You can grab a bag of lentils and eat healthy for the entire week on that three dollar bag of lentils.

How you break your fast is really how you're going to start your day. You get in that smoothie every day, a good healthy smoothie and a good salad, leafy salad, that's a great start for you as you move throughout the day.

It's beautiful to be idealistic, but also, you must become realistic. That realism should not take you off your path, but you can't just live through life through the lens of idealism.
