Building DeFi is way more difficult than building, let's say, traditional financial platforms... or, let's say, building rockets that are going toward space. Let's say you have a cargo rocket that explodes; you lose $10 million. If the large DeFi protocol gets hacked, you lose $10 billion. So, the stakes are very, very high.

Ultimately I look at decentralized finance as, if you take everything in the traditional world, everything is going to get digitized. We're going to have digital stocks, bonds, currencies, and commodities—that's been my thesis for years ... Of course, decentralized finance is going to be a thing. You got to be an idiot to not think that at this point.

Sleep is the most important thing for me. So if I can't get enough sleep, my performance is going to be very, very, very weak.

Being in this space, it's just like horrible. If anyone is going into DeFi... think twice—you will have no personal life.

There's just so much efficiency in decentralized finance because, effectively, what decentralized finance is, it's like a marketplace or an ocean of liquidity and algorithms matching together ... If you have an algorithm that yields more (it's more efficient and has better effect), it attracts more liquidity.
