To me, the irony is that the pursuit of happiness can lead us into this eternal trap of chasing unhappiness. Being mindful of this is the first step off the treadmill and in the right direction—and that direction is inwards.

I deeply know and believe... everyone's the hero of their own story ... I deeply believe we're all human beings created equally. Once you think about that and that everyone is fighting some sort of battle or war that you don't know about, that will change the way you go about, you know, the world and your business.

No matter where you're at—whether you're making $50k, $100k, or millions of dollars, or tens of millions of dollars—there's always a next accomplishment around the corner, and you always adapt to your circumstances, and there's always someone who's doing better than you that you can look at and be jealous of.

The outside world never delivers lasting happiness; lasting happiness only comes from within.

What do I want for my kid? I don't want my kid to be rich or famous ... What I want is for him to be the source of his own approval in the world; for him to be a kind person and compassionate; for him to be empathetic and to have self-love and love for other people. That's all I care about.
