If you take an entry-level job and you learn, and it's a reasonably decent place, you will not be in an entry-level job for long, because everyone who's competent is desperate for competent people. And if you go and show yourself as competent, there'll be a trial period, but if you go and show yourself as competent, all sorts of doors you didn't even know were there start opening like mad.
