The healthcare system is designed to build and code for disease. It's a sickness-building complex; it's not a system for creating health ... It's not going to build your energy systems; it's not going to feed you healthy food; it's not going to teach you how to exercise; its not going to teach you how to meditate; it's not going to teach you how to fast. All these things are what actually build health.

I think the vast majority of people who think that they're healthy in America are actually not that healthy. I see young people all the time with sallow skin—it has no brightness, non-shiny hair, and an overall dull appearance. They're not emitting this picture of health. They think that they're healthy because they don't get sick very often, but that doesn't mean they're healthy.

To me, health ... is the ability to adapt and self-manage in the face of adversity, and we've never been hit with this kind of adversity—socially, physically, environmentally, emotionally, you name it. We're now testing our theories in real-time of whether we're as healthy as we think we are as a country, as a community, and as individuals.

Just like we've discovered with HIV and malaria that there are certain people who are immune, we're going to find that there are certain people who are immune to COVID-19.

To me, the real travesty of our country is that we don't seem to care about slow-moving diseases that kill millions of people, and we freak out when there's a virus that's likely going to cause what I'm predicting as a double flu.

If you're an adult and getting regular breakouts—I'm talking acne, you're probably insulin resistant. If you're noticing that you're getting a lot more wrinkles as you're getting older, you're probably insulin resistant.

You need to be investing in your health when you're young if you want to have a strong immune system when you're older.

We're dealing with a zombie apocalypse of diabetes. There are literally people walking around that have lost their eyesight and the ability to feel their limbs. They're losing limbs! And because it's a slow-moving disease, nobody bats an eyelash.

One of the best best substances we know of for improving health—and some research suggests it has effects against the coronavirus—is green tea.

Sitting is the new smoking. It's basically like keeping your car in the garage on idle. It's really bad for your mitochondria.
